Focus Interactive SummitI was going to entitle this, “throwing a party and you’re invited!” On Tuesday, June 29th, we are hosting a free, online interactive summit: Mastering Lead Management.

I’ve personally crafted the agenda with the following in mind:

1.    Expert speakers – We have 6 experts who will offer their third party thought leadership on the various elements of Lead Management.  They’re all hand-chosen as some of the best in the business (see below for more details).
2.    No vendor speakers pretending they’re trying to help you – From my personal experience with trade shows (virtual and real), speaking engagements usually mean vendors speaking on stage pretending they are trying to help you, but really they are there to help themselves.
3.    Dynamic interaction – Instead of trying to squeeze in Q&A at the end of every speaker’s presentation, we have half-hour chats scheduled with the speakers so you can ask your questions and even follow-up or weigh in.
4.    Focused content – I purposely chose to focus the content on the Lead Management topic than trying to come up with everything “under the sun” just to get attendees.  I wanted to focus the content.

This is going to be the first of many great events built by marketers for marketers from Focus.  Here is my take on the event, piece by piece:

8:00 a.m. Welcome and Event Introduction - Scott Albro (twitter.com/scottalbro), Founder and CEO, Focus

Funnelholic take: Scott is my boss at Focus and one of the smartest guys alive. This won’t be just a “hi, thanks for coming” intro, but will include some valuable data we are seeing from marketing practitioners and experts on Focus.com. There will be real world takeaways that you shouldn’t miss.

8:30 a.m. Keeping Your Strategy in Lockstep with the Changing B-to-B Buyer - Carlos Hidalgo (twitter.com/cahidalgo), President, The Annuitas Group

Funelholic take: Have you ever heard Carlos present on lead management?  I have and when we were putting together the agenda, I said “Carlos is speaking. PERIOD”.  The dude is so dynamic, so knowledgeable about the lead management PROCESS.  Marketing automation has gotten everyone thinking about automating, but they aren’t always thinking about the process that the automation supports.

9:30 a.m. Visualizing the Opportunity for B-to-B Marketers in Social Media - Brian Solis (twitter.com/briansolis), Author and Principal, FutureWorks

Funnelholic take: Social media, social media, social media.  But what does it mean in B-to-B?  We got one of the biggest social media wonks out there to come speak on the topic. Brian will help B-to-B marketers visualize, that is, see the light on what the potential is for B-to-B.  This is a very exciting opportunity to hear a social media titan talk.

10:30 a.m. Scrapping Traditional for Content Marketing: Why You Can’t Afford to Wait - Ardath Albee (twitter.com/ardath421), CEO and B2B Marketing Strategist, Marketing Interactions, Inc

Funnelholic take: If you read any of my stuff or go to my webinars, you know that I love Ardath’s content.  Call it “content on content”.  She is one of the best in the business and a true visionary in the Content Marketing revolution.   I learn something EVERY time I read her posts or hear her speak. This is a “can’t miss.”

11:30 a.m.  10 Best Practices for Lead Generation and Pipeline Acceleration - Mac McIntosh (twitter.com/B2B_Sales_Leads), Business-to-Business Sales Lead Expert, Consultant

Funnelholic take: This is a great grab for us.  Mac is a veteran of the game and can speak across the entire lead management funnel.  For the summit, he is going to tell us “what works and what doesn’t work” in lead generation as told by a guy who has been helping clients do it successfully for years.

12:30 p.m.  Matching a Marketing Automation System to Your Need - David M. Raab (twitter.com/draab), Marketing Consultant, Author and Analyst, Raab Associates, Inc.

Funnelholic take: Marketing automation – the platform by which you manage your lead management funnel.  Marketing Automation – a crowded market with lots of vendors, choices and consequently, confusion.  We wanted a third party analyst who understands all the potential solutions on the market today to help you make the right choice.

1:30 p.m. Getting Started with Lead Nurturing: 10 Tips for Success - Howard Sewell (twitter.com/hjsewell), President, Spear Marketing Group

Funnelholic take: Howard is another veteran who has been building campaigns for customers for years. If you haven’t read his stuff on the internet or heard him speak, you are in for a real treat.  He is an experienced veteran of the lead management game and a great speaker.

2:30 p.m.  Putting It All Together…Plus, The Top 6 Things I learned Today - Craig Rosenberg (twitter.com/funnelholic), VP Products & Services, Focus, Author of The Funnelholic blog

Funnelholic take: Well, this will be my preso.  I don’t plan to just do a boring wrap-up but I want to talk about some of the key takeaways from the event and what they mean to marketers.
