Lead Qualification: Defining your Qualified Lead (infographic)

Editor’s note: I get asked all the time to post infographics. As a general rule, I don’t like to post them. However, if I am a mentioned in the infographic and there is a cartoon image of me????  Don’t judge me, but I gotta do it. Please send any complaints to our complaints department (which we have still yet to hire). Net-net, this is a great infographic so enjoy:

More evidence the traditional “white” paper is toast: The Kapost Comic Book

The other night Jill Rowley called me and said: “I read your post on the demise of the whitepaper, those examples were great.  But have you seen the Kapost comic book?”  So I went and downloaded it.  It’s awesome.  I don’t want to bore you with more rantings about old pamphlet-ware versus the remarkable content of today.  Just check it out.  There are some really original elements such as  thought leader superheroes and comic-strip styles graphics.  And of course, the content is valuable and helpful.   It sure is fun to be marketed to these days.

Content that rules: The Year in Review brought to you by MailChimp, Airbnb, and Sailthru

The Content Hall of Fame continues to grow it’s list of nominees. I am not even sure what to call the content we are reviewing today.  Basically, a number of companies created these amazing “Year in Review” pieces which are mashup of infographics, web design, and ebooks.  When John Hurley from Radius Intelligence  pointed them out to me, I had no idea what they were talking about. When I finally got a chance to review them, I got a “ding-ding-ding; we have a winner!”

Optimizing contact forms, an infographic

I love Neil Patel – both Quicksprout and the Kissmetrics blogs.  Great content, always actionable and specific or with real data.   He recently posted a great infographic on optimizing contact forms.  I enjoyed it…I think you will too. Enjoy.

Great Infographic: The Social Business Report

Great infographic from Netprospex.  The Funnelholic is not going to become a repository for infographics but this infographic is not only informative but their are some lessons learned.

Look, lets face it, Netprospex is one of the leaders in selling contacts. Do you expect them to get PR via Huffington Post or Fox Business News? Well, they did and it’s because they have created a report with interesting, hot aka spicy data that the business community craves. In other words, great PR work. I love it. Good job guys.

Marketo vs Eloqua – The Dreamforce Infographic War

2 infographics on Dreamforce by two competitors within weeks of each other.  Do I need to say anything else?  Look, I know you want some “biggie smalls” or east-coast/west-coast rant from me but you won’t get it from.  There are two infographics here on a great topic.  Is it really my fault they timed them together? (:  You be the judge.

A guide to the best marketing conferences (great infographic)

My new rule on infographics: If it’s an idea that I wish I had come up with, then I will post on the Funnelholic. Rule 2: if you can hang the infographic on the walls and refer to it in the future, well then, ding, ding, ding, you have a winner. This is a winner. Information I don’t have in a nice, easy to look at design.
